  • Description:

    The course will cover the development of the ancient Greek style of warfare from Mycenae to the successors of Alexander the Great. Subjects covered will include the development of Hoplites and lighter troops, Sieges, Naval warfare, the rise of the Macedonian Phalangites and the use of cavalry. Although some battles and campaigns will be used for illustration the course will be more thematic rather than a chronological history. There will be handouts for which there will be a small charge.
