  • Description:

    A discursive group for those interested in world exploration, covering a combination of specific discoveries (e.g. the source of the Nile) and recurrent themes (eg. mapping newly discovered territories). The focus will be mostly, but not exclusively, European exploration of the wider world. The group is open to anyone interested in the subject & would particularly welcome members who had knowledge of a particular area or theme that they were willing to contribute.  In addition to the talks, the group will host a website which will contain the presentations & references to other relevant materials (books, websites, exhibitions etc).
