    For native and non-native speakers alike, this course will focus on the articulation and broad phonemic notation of our spoken language and explore features of word and sentence stress, rhythm and intonation which impact on communication and intelligibility for English language learners. We will also look at listening and conversation strategies and include some interactive workshop activities, games, rhymes and jazz chants. Members' contributions will be welcomed and no previous formal knowledge of linguistics is assumed.
