The so-called Marriage tales (G L Kittredge 1912) from the Canterbury Tales - Wife of Bath, Clerk, Merchant, Franklin. We shall read Chaucer in the original Middle English - a language not so difficult as some younger students make out. Some of the U3AC students will anyway be more linguistically knowledgeable than the tutor.
