    We will consider the poetry of John Keats, one of the great figures of Romanticism, reading the poems alongside his remarkable Letters, in order to gain a deeper understanding of how his poetic thought fitted into the political and intellectual background of his tragically short life. Recommended texts: John Keats Major Works , Oxford World’s Classics, 2008. or if you prefer the poems and letters in separate volumes Selected Poems: Keats, Penguin Classics , ed John Barnard, 2007 and John Keats Selected Letters , Penguin Classics, 2014. Alternatively, please use any editions that you already possess.
