This course will study epistemological theories and extracts from philosophers including Plato (Theaetetus) and Aristotle (part of Metaphysics), some medieval philosophers, Locke (chapters from Human Understanding), Hume (Dialogue), Kant (chapters from Pure Reason), and Wittgenstein (Certainty) A detailed reading list will be available from the tutor. Ten classes with some lecturing and with class presentation and open discussion.
