  • Description:

In 1956 the physicist Erwin Schrödinger delivered the Tanner Lectures in Cambridge. In the first lecture he stated 'The Problem: What kind of material process is directly associated with Consciousness?' In the 2nd he quoted Jung. 'All science is a function of the psyche, in which all knowledge is rooted. The psyche is the greatest of all cosmic wonders & the sine qua non of the world as an object. It is in the highest degree odd that Western Man...pays so little attention to this fact. Swamped by knowledge of external events, the subject of all knowledge has been temporarily eclipsed to the point of seeming non-existence.' The Bronowski Group is a continuous course on the Humanities.
