What can we learn about the brain from studies of brain anatomy, brain stimulation, brain damage and recording of brain activity? We will range from the structure and function of single nerve cells to the structures and functions underlying perception (including touch, pain, vision and hearing) and the control of movement. I do not claim to be able to venture far into the worlds of psychology or psychiatry.
