  • Day and time: Tuesday 13:30 - 15:00
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 1 term. Spring (10 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 40
  • Start date: 10 January 2017
  • Description:

Does having to drive worry you? Are other people concerned about your ability to drive? Have you suddenly found, because of a change in circumstances, you now have to do a lot more driving? Have you ever wanted to improve your driving technique? I aim to give an in depth study of a way of improving your driving ability as described in a book entitled Roadcraft , as used by the traffic police, RoSPA and IAM. This should help you become a better driver by increasing your awareness of all the factors that affect your driving – your own capabilities, the characteristics of your car, and the road and traffic conditions. I plan to cover each aspect of driving in greater detail, spending about 1 hour outlining the techniques described in Roadcraft followed by a time for questions and answers. Details of organisations offering practical training will be made available.
