Lifelines (WRT 04)

  • Day and time: Tuesday 10:30 - 12:30
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 2 terms. Autumn (10 Weeks), Spring (10 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 8
  • Start date: 11 October 2016
  • Description:

Do you want to write stories about your life? You might write so your children and grandchildren know about your childhood and family, houses and countries you have lived in, your work, travel – and what’s made you the person you are. Or you might want to write just for yourself. Sharing stories with other group members can prompt your recall and give support to get started and carry on. Some short homework most weeks will be designed to help use resources and bring your writing to life. In a warm and friendly atmosphere everyone will take a turn to read aloud most weeks for comment and encouragement by the class. Both people new to life writing and those with some experience will be welcome. Both venues are accessible by the Citi 8 bus and Cambridge Road is easily reached by using the Guided Bus.

  • Format: Part teaching, part writing and reading and part mutual help and encouragement

  • Co-ordinator: Mrs Tamsin Palmer
