    If you are fond of sixties popular music this course is for you. Which songs, groups and genres were your favourites? What artists did you see live? What great music might you have missed amongst this avalanche of musical creativity? We don’t intend to just play music but, where possible, use video material. You will be encouraged to share your views and experiences! This course could be a nostalgic roller coaster! Each session will be themed within the enormous scope of popular music from the sixties: Themes will be drawn from but not limited to: Artists & Groups: Beatles, Who, Kinks, Hollies, Searchers, Cream, Rolling Stones, Animals, Van Morrison, Dusty Springfield… Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Electric Prunes, Doors, Love… Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Traffic, Bob Dylan, Byrds, The Band, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen… Simon and Garfunkel, Aretha Franklin, Captain Beefheart, Tom Rapp, Incredible String Band, Mothers of Invention, Fugs… Supremes, Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Righteous Brothers, Everly Brothers, Temptations, Shirelles, …
