A continuation course aimed at those who have studied Book 1V and started Book V. We will continue with Book V and consolidate our knowledge of language and grammar before reading some prose and verse extracts from leading Roman authors of the classical period. By the end of the course we should at least be at GCSE O level standard - possibly beyond. As throughout the course we shall be exploring and discussing Roman attitudes and customs, as well as the use of language, in a friendly lively atmosphere. Newcomers wishing to refresh their knowledge of Latin and the Romans would be welcome.
