  • Number of places: 12
  • Start date: 11 October 2016
  • Description:

This is a discussion group for those of you who either already enjoy reading the Economist, or who are looking for greater insights, and perhaps forecasts, about the way politics, economics, finance, demographics, culture, science and technology might shape the way we live in Britain and how we understand the rest of the world. The Economist is a wide ranging magazine, with a very readable house style. If you don't know it, it is a discovery worth making. We will focus, in a highly participative way, on the leading articles each week. We will be asking what the implications might be, and what predictions we can make. Where time permits, there will also be an opportunity to share, in smaller subgroups, knowledge of other articles you may have found of interest. There were great insights last year. Come along and be better informed!
