Sessions take place at the Leys School in a traditional 25m pool with 1m shallow and 2m deep ends. The pool is spacious with no lane division. There are communal changing rooms with showers. Parking is available on site at the Sports Hall a 5 to 10 minute walk from the pool. There is no tuition or organised activity. most people swim lengths but the time is entirely your own. Tuesday and Thursday groups are interchangeable so you can swim once or twice a week up to the maximum 9 sessions per term. Health benefits of regular swimming are huge and we are a friendly group. A free trial swim can be arranged. contact Sue for further information. NB Swimming is never over-subscribed so there is no need to prioritise it on your form. Note: There will be no sessions during school half-terms: 25 Oct. 14 Feb. 30 May. There is an additional fee of £84.00 which covers the hire of the pool and lifeguard. This may be paid by either: One payment of £84 on application or one term on application of £28.00 plus 2 cheques of £28.00 post-dated 9 January 2017 and 18 April 2017. There is an option to continue swimming for 10 weeks on Thursdays in the summer holidays from 22 June to 24 August. The U3AC Office will write to all swimmers in May to ask if they wish to take up this option at which point an additional fee of £40 would be payable.
