There's Rocks and there's Rocks (summer term) (SCE 25)

  • Day and time: Tuesday 12:15 - 13:30
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 1 term. Summer (3 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 16
  • Start date: 02 May 2017
  • Description:

A short course in basic geology and the Earth's form. Comprising four sessions, it will cover the types and origins of rocks, the formation of land, and the rock cycle. Included will be a practical session on rock identification. Finally a trip to put into practice all of the lessons learnt, by interpreting the rock formation visited. (unfortunately the field trip may not be possible for those with mobility issues). Although serious in input, the sessions will be informative and easy going and hopefully fun, with a view to better understanding of the earth we walk upon.
