  • Day and time: Wednesday 10:15 - 11:30
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 1 term. Autumn (10 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 17
  • Start date: 12 October 2016
  • Description:

The execution of the king in 1793 did not lead to stability in the French government. Since then there have been five republics, two empires and two more periods of monarchy, each brought in by some kind of revolution. This course will outline the politics involved but will also consider the economy and culture of France since the king lost his head.
